The Stretches of My Elementary Mind

So as a kid (and once in a while now) I had these imaginary friends. I actually had more but these were the main five.

-Rainbow the Unicorn: She came to my imagination on the rug of and elementary school classroom. Never played with her much, so in the drawing she's portrayed as sullen. I only ever called her up when I needed a Unicorn.

-Maya the Dog: Maya was made when I was thinking about a real dog named Maya in the car. Me and my family went to my Moms friends house and she had like four dogs I think, but my favorite was Maya and so in a way I kept her. Never played with her much either but she was my go-to dog.

-Goldy the Dragon: In my elementary school we had a book buddy system where an older kid read to the younger kid, and so I chose a book about dragons once and I saw this beautiful Golden dragon. So I kept him. Really was my go-to dragon/pet.

-Mean me: She was kinda like my shadow friend. She was always there and always rude. I don't know when she came to my imagination, she was just always there. I drew her a little hazier in color than the rest because she was always sort of a part of me.

-Lightning the fairy: Wow, she was the one I ALWAYS had fun games with. She'd take me away to be the savior of this world I created. She used to look like the blue fairy from Sleeping Beauty but then I had a whole remodeling for her while waiting for my flute class to begin (I hung out with her so much while waiting for flute class). She once had a different name but then I forgot it so I renamed her. At one point I even gave her a family. So many memories with her.

Bottom line is they were real and not real to me. I miss being able to bring them whenever and not being embarrassed. I miss telling my parents "Sh, I'm playing a game." When we walk places together.
They began to fade in seventh grade.
So here is a tribute.
Hope you come back again someday.
